Institute for Justice in Arlington, VA seeks a Development Data Specialist to manage CRM data and ensure donors receive accurate communications. You will build and maintain reports for mailings and donations, and ensure correct attribution and coding across donations and contact records.
You will audit recently entered donations, update reports for evolving Salesforce structures, and identify gaps to improve data integrity.
Join the Institute for Justice, a public interest law firm on the front lines fighting to end widespread abuses of government power and to secure the rights of all Americans.
In this position, you will support Development operations by expertly providing for our CRM data needs and ensuring our generous donors receive appropriate and correct communications about their support and what it makes possible. You will build and maintain reports for a variety of mail and email distributions, including our three annual appeal mailings (our primary means of soliciting donors), and ensure our donation entry and acknowledgement is accurate. Effectively building reports in our instance of Salesforce will require an understanding of many interconnected objects and dozens of associated fields, so the ideal candidate will bring a strong foundation of CRM knowledge and an ability to apply that to our unique Salesforce setup.
Maintaining the integrity of our data is another key aspect of this position, and responsibilities include auditing recently entered donations to ensure proper attribution and coding, evaluating recently created contact records to ensure all fields are accurately populated, and regularly reviewing existing reports to confirm the fields and filters keep up with our evolving database. In doing so, you will identify potential gaps in our processes and propose and implement solutions to address them.
The ideal candidate will exhibit the close attention to detail necessary for data entry and donation handling tasks, demonstrate an ability to coordinate and work well with a range of team members on their data and report needs, and will establish themselves as the in-house expert for all Development data.
This position is posted at the Assistant level with a salary range of $50,000-$55,000.
