POSITION DESCRIPTION
Title: Development Coordinator
Reports to: Director of Development
Salary Range: $52,000-$60,000 (Full-Time, Exempt)

Dedicated to Art for All, Maryland Hall was founded in 1979 by a group of artistic visionaries who believed the former Annapolis High School could best be utilized as a community arts center. Today, our historic landmark building is the community’s gathering place for the arts. Through year-round classes, performances, exhibits, and workshops, people of all ages discover the transformative power of the arts.
Development Coordinator Responsibilities:
- Maintain relationships with current grantors and regularly prospect new funding opportunities for which Maryland Hall is eligible to apply. The Development Team is responsible for ensuring we meet our revenue goals from grants.
- Make sure our Grants and Reports Tracker, as well as other grants management resources/documents used internally, are always updated and organized.
- Prepare polished drafts for internal review and once approved submit grant proposals and LOIs in a timely manner. Multiple applications and/or reports per month are expected. You will work with the Leadership team, to ensure the narratives, expected outcomes, timelines and budgets for grant proposals are accurate.
- Prepare and manage grant reporting requirements effectively and timely, working together with Programming/Finance/Administrative teams to provide accurate financial informationand results/outcomes to our grantors.
- Request and manage grant reimbursements and disbursements as needed.
- Prepare, track, and manage donation acknowledgements, including those from individuals, private foundations and corporate organizations.
- Support fundraising efforts, including special fundraising events, under the guidance of the Director of Development.
Applicant Requirements:
- 1-3 years of experience in grant writing and grant portfolio management.
- 1-3 years of experience with CRM software systems. Will be expected to work in Tessitura.
- Professional writing and editing skills, with an emphasis on crafting persuasive narratives and answering prompts clearly and comprehensively. Will be asked to share writing samples, preferably grant proposals, and complete a written prompt in the interview.
- Basic data analysis skills.
- Strong administrative, organizational, and project management skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
- Proactive and self-motivated.
- Ability to work under pressure and stay on top of deadlines.
This is a full-time, exempt, position.
