Job summary

Education Through Music-Los Angeles is seeking a Development Coordinator to join the Development and Communications team. The role focuses on institutional giving, including foundations, government, corporations, and individual donors, ensuring quality proposals and timely reporting.

You will support LOIs and grant proposals, manage donor communications in Salesforce, and collaborate with staff and leadership to advance funding opportunities and events in support of ETM-LA’s mission.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting institutional fundraising efforts.
• Strong written communication and proposal development skills.
• Ability to coordinate with multiple departments and staff.

Responsibilities

• Research grant funding sources and assist with LOIs and proposals.
• Maintain and update master grants list.
• Prepare 4–8 LOIs per month and assist with 4–8 proposals monthly.
• Coordinate with program staff to prepare accurate proposals and reports.
• Prepare grant reports for submission with Development & PR Manager and Executive Director.
• Maintain donor correspondence in Salesforce and track grants and gifts.
• Prepare tax acknowledgement letters to institutions/foundations/government.
• Assist with budgets for proposals and site visit scheduling.
• Support donor communications and event-related activities.
