Metropolitan Ministries is seeking a Development Coordinator to support its Advancement team and the Metropolitan Ministries Foundation. You will strengthen donor relationships, support major and legacy giving initiatives, and ensure excellence in donor engagement, stewardship, and operations.
You will collaborate with leadership to manage the full donor lifecycle, while providing essential administrative and project coordination support across cross‑functional teams.

The Development Coordinator plays a critical role in supporting the Advancement team across both Metropolitan Ministries (MMI) and the Metropolitan Ministries Foundation (MMF/Legacy Giving). This position contributes to the success of fundraising efforts by strengthening donor relationships, supporting major and planned giving initiatives, and ensuring excellence in donor engagement, stewardship, and operations. The Coordinator partners closely with the Advancement Team and Foundation leadership to support the full donor lifecycle—identification, cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship—while also providing essential administrative and project coordination support. This role helps advance both current and legacy giving strategies to achieve annual and long‑term resource development goals.

Bachelor’s degree preferred; 2+ years of experience in nonprofit fundraising, development operations, donor relations, or special events preferred.
Strong organizational and project management skills; ability to manage multiple priorities. High attention to detail and follow‑through. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast‑paced environment. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage diverse stakeholders, including donors, volunteers, and leadership. Experience with donor databases (CRM), Microsoft Office Suite, and research tools. Comfort with data entry, reporting, and donor tracking systems.
Ability to sit or stand for extended periods. Ability to lift up to 20 pounds. Flexible schedule, including availability for occasional evenings and weekends for events. Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including events and temporary settings. Stamina to meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual demands of the role.
Must pass pre‑employment screening. Must be authorized to work in the United States.
