The Development Coordinator increases the capacity and effectiveness of the fundraising operation by building and maintaining the systems, data, research, and donor intelligence that support fundraising success. The successful candidate will combine exceptional organization and attention to detail with strong research, communication, and follow-through skills.
Miami Music Project is seeking a highly organized, detail-oriented, and relationship-focused professional to support the organization’s fundraising and donor engagement efforts. The Development Coordinator is the operational and donor-intelligence backbone of the fundraising operation, ensuring accurate data, timely gift processing and acknowledgements, effective annual giving execution, and strong donor stewardship. The role also strengthens the development pipeline through prospect identification, research, and relationship intelligence, while providing coordination and support for grant packages and cross-departmental fundraising initiatives. Within the first year, the successful candidate will strengthen the fundraising operation through accurate systems, actionable prospect intelligence, timely annual giving and stewardship, and reliable development support.
Maintains accurate records and manages multiple priorities with consistency.
Finds, evaluates, and synthesizes information to strengthen donor and prospect intelligence.
Produces clear, polished communications and provides thoughtful donor service.
Understands that timely, personalized follow-through is essential to strong donor relationships.

Works effectively across departments to support shared fundraising and organizational priorities.
This position is based at Miami Music Project’s administrative offices and requires regular collaboration with staff, donors, volunteers, and community partners. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required to support performances, donor events, program visits, and other fundraising activities.
