Breakthrough Miami seeks a Director of Development to grow unrestricted giving and sustain programs. The role requires building authentic donor relationships, closing gifts, and meeting ambitious annual targets while managing a 175–225 donor portfolio.
You’ll collaborate with leadership to drive campaigns, events, and donor stewardship across cycles. The position reports to the Chief Philanthropy Officer and is an in-person role with flexibility, centered in Miami, FL.
SUMMARY:Breakthrough Miami seeks aresults-driven Director of Developmentto grow and sustain unrestricted giving in support of the organization’s mission and programs. The Director will secureannual and multi-year unrestricted gifts, manage a portfolio of175–225 donors and prospects, create and execute an annual strategy to move prospects through the donor cycle, and leverage events, campaigns, and community opportunities to drive giving.
This role requires an experienced fundraiser who canbuild authentic relationships quickly, actively engage prospects, and consistently close gifts. The Director will be accountable for achieving aYear 1 fundraising goal of $750K, with growth to$1.25M in Year 2and$1.5M+ annuallythereafter.
