Job summary

The University of Chicago invites applications for the Assistant Director of Development to support the Campaign Management team. You will draft donor communications, maintain CRM records, coordinate gift acknowledgments, and collaborate with senior leaders to articulate fundraising priorities.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or equivalent.
  • Minimum 2–5 years nonprofit development or alumni relations experience.
  • Experience writing for internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to manage cross-functional projects.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Gather and synthesize data about fundraising progress, pipeline, and prospect pool.
  • Prepare reports and materials related to fundraising activity and campaign operations.
  • Serve as project manager for the College Development Campaign Management team.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and enter reports, meeting summaries, and correspondence.
  • Draft donor correspondence, gift proposals, and talking points; coordinate communications.
