Job summary

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, CT is seeking a Development Associate to support plans to maximize contributed revenue. Reports to Development Manager and collaborates with the Director of Development and Marketing to manage memberships and donor databases.

Responsibilities include gift processing, acknowledgments, pledge billing, maintaining data in Patron Manager/Salesforce, preparing reports, and assisting with fundraising appeals. 1-2 years in an office setting preferred.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in an office setting, fundraising or fundraising operations desired.
• Excellent customer service skills and ability to interact with a broad spectrum of O’Neill patrons at various giving levels
• Experience with CRM or database systems strongly desired, with a preference for experience with Salesforce/PatronManager
• Advanced expertise with Excel and HTML a plus
• Exceptional attention to detail, writing and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently, with minimal oversight or supervision, and to collaborate
• Passion for theater and knowledge of the theatre landscape

Responsibilities

• Assist with the creation and management of development plans for membership campaigns and engage donors.
• Responsible for gift processing, acknowledgments, and pledge billing with accurate receipts.
• Maintain Patron Manager/Salesforce data; ensure database accuracy and SOP documentation.
• Maintain donation reports and reconcile with Business Office; liaise with Salesforce/Patron Manager.
• Create relationships with donors and represent the O’Neill in community outreach.
• Assist with content for fundraising appeals and coordinate distributions.
• Create and execute queries/reports to track fundraising progress and merge data sets.
• Conduct prospect research to support donor visits and cultivation.
• Other duties as assigned.
