Job summary

The Eugene O’Neill Theater Center in Waterford, CT is seeking a Development Associate to support plans to maximize contributed revenue. This full-time, early career role reports to the Development Manager and collaborates with the Director of Development and Marketing to manage membership programs and donor stewardship.

Responsibilities include gift processing, pledge billing, database maintenance (Patron Manager/Salesforce), producing reports, and donor communications.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years’ experience in an office setting; fundraising operations preferred.
• Strong customer service and donor interaction skills.
• Experience with CRM or database systems, Salesforce/PatronManager preferred.
• Advanced Excel skills; HTML is a plus.
• Attention to detail, writing and organizational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development plans for individual membership campaigns and donor engagement opportunities.
• Process gifts, acknowledgments, and pledge billing with timely donor communications.
• Maintain Patron Manager/Salesforce database; ensure data accuracy and SOP documentation.
• Maintain donation reports and reconcile with Business Office monthly; liaison with Salesforce.
• Create and develop relationships with donors and community; provide professional communications.
• Assist with fundraising appeals content; prepare data for each appeal.
• Create and maintain queries/reports tracking fundraising progress; perform prospect research.
• Other duties as assigned.
