Granite VNA, Inc. in Concord, NH is seeking a Development Associate for Annual Giving to advance donor engagement and philanthropy. You will manage a portfolio of donors, cultivate relationships, and drive year‑over‑year giving growth.

The role reports to the Director of Donor Relations and collaborates with Development and Communications teams to plan appeals and donor communications. Some evening/weekend events required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Three years of work experience in development and fundraising, or non-profit healthcare preferred.
• Raiser’s Edge NXT experience a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manages and grows Granite VNA's annual giving program through cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and retention of individual donors.
• Builds and manages a portfolio of annual giving donors and prospects, developing meaningful relationships that encourage continued philanthropic support.
• Conducts personal outreach to donors and prospects through phone calls, meetings, written communication, and other engagement opportunities.
• Develops and implements strategies to retain current donors, renew annual gifts, re-engage lapsed donors, and acquire new donors.
• Collaborates with the Director of Donor Relations and Development team to establish annual giving revenue, donor retention, donor acquisition, and donor engagement goals.

JOB SPECIFICATIONS:

Title: Development Associate - Annual Giving (Fundraising)

Schedule: Monday-Friday | 8am-4:30pm., but occasional evening and weekend hours will be required to attend events and donor engagement activities.

Salary: $60,000 - $65,000/year

Position Overview

Reporting to the Director of Donor Relations, the Development Associate is responsible for advancing Granite VNA's annual giving program through the cultivation, solicitation, stewardship, and retention of individual donors. The Development Associate plays a key role in building a sustainable base of philanthropic support by developing meaningful relationships with donors, implementing annual giving strategies, and creating opportunities for donors to deepen their engagement with the Agency.

This position manages a portfolio of annual giving donors and prospects and is responsible for increasing annual giving revenue, donor retention, and donor engagement. The Development Associate works collaboratively with the Development and Communications teams to execute annual appeals, stewardship initiatives, donor communications, and other activities designed to strengthen Granite VNA's culture of philanthropy.

• Participates in the planning and execution of annual giving appeals and campaigns, including direct mail, digital communications, email, and other fundraising strategies.
• Ensures donors receive meaningful and timely stewardship and recognition that reflects their generosity and impact.
• Develops and implements personalized stewardship strategies for donors to strengthen relationships and encourage continued support.
• Identifies opportunities to increase donor engagement and deepen relationships with Granite VNA through tours, meetings, events, volunteer opportunities, impact communications, and other meaningful experiences.
• Identifies annual giving donors with the capacity and interest for increased philanthropic support and works collaboratively with the Development team to advance qualified prospects to major gift or planned giving opportunities.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation of donor contacts, cultivation activities, solicitations, gifts, and stewardship activities in the Agency's donor database (Raiser’s Edge).
• Tracks and reports progress toward annual giving goals, including revenue, donor retention, donor acquisition, donor renewal, donor engagement, and donor upgrade metrics.
• Analyzes donor giving trends and identifies opportunities to improve annual giving performance and strengthen donor relationships.
• Collaborates with the Development and Communications teams to develop compelling donor communications that demonstrate the impact of philanthropy and inspire continued support.
• Acquires and maintains sound knowledge and understanding of the organization and its programs and services to effectively communicate Granite VNA's mission and philanthropic priorities to donors and prospective donors.
• Represents the Agency in public settings and community events as appropriate and develops relationships that increase awareness of Granite VNA and opportunities for philanthropic engagement.
• Develops and sustains excellent working relationships at all levels of the Agency to generate interest and participation in fundraising and donor engagement activities.
• Contributes to the total effectiveness of the Agency by communicating openly, solving problems proactively, offering creative ideas, and working as a positive, engaged team member.
