Job summary

CHOP seeks an Assistant Development Officer to support Major Gifts programs. You will help identify, cultivate, solicit and steward six- and seven-figure donors, contributing to pediatric care advances.

Collaborating with Directors of Development, clinical teams and donor relations, you will prepare proposals, briefing materials, and reports, and help manage a growing donor portfolio with precision and empathy. Travel locally and regionally is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• At least 3 years in fundraising/development, preferably in healthcare.
• Experience with major gifts and donor relations.
• Strong collaboration and communication with stakeholders.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and donor databases.

Responsibilities

• Provide major gift support to identify, cultivate, solicit and steward 6- and 7-figure donors.
• Prepare briefing materials and reports for donor meetings with leadership.
• Collaborate with Prospect Management to engage new donors.
• Help manage donor qualification and referral processes.
• Build, maintain and manage a portfolio of donors below $100k.
