Job summary

The Children's Hospital of Philadelphia is seeking a seasoned Major Gifts leader to drive philanthropic support across divisions and programs. You will mentor gift officers, partner with hospital leadership, and build long-term donor relationships to sustain CHOP’s mission.

With a Bachelor's degree and 7+ years in development (3+ in major gifts) you’ll manage a high-impact team, guide strategy, and cultivate a 6- to 7-figure donor portfolio in a dynamic healthcare setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required.
• 7+ years of development or fundraising experience required.
• 3+ years of major gifts fundraising experience required.
• 3+ years of leadership, management or supervisory experience required.
• Healthcare fundraising experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee major gifts fundraising for assigned divisions, centers and programs.
• Identify, cultivate, solicit and steward a portfolio of 100 prospects at 6- to 7-figure levels.
• Partner with hospital leadership and multidisciplinary teams in the development process from identification to solicitation.
• Increase philanthropic awareness through staff orientations and clinical unit presence.
• Mentor frontline gift officers and an Assistant Development Officer.
• Contribute to collaboration within the Individual Giving team and Foundation.
