Job Title: Software Development and Operations Engineer (Site Reliability Engineer)
Location: Ireland, UK, France, Netherlands, Spain & Romania - Remote

Are you ready to take your skills to the next level as a self-motivated and enthusiastic Development and Operations Engineer with hands-on experience in cloud computing?

What You Will Do

By collaborating with internal software engineering teams, you will craft, automate, and deploy cutting-edge tools for seamless testing and release management. Utilising your experience you will maintain and optimise deployment, monitoring, and operations tools. Embrace a culture of automation and continuous improvement for enhanced support and development. Act as a vital liaison between teams, ensuring smooth operations and fostering an inclusive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Emphasise SRE as an engineering discipline, driven by automation.
2. Own KPIs for site stability, performance, and root cause analysis in production.
3. Develop services for automatic incident and disaster recovery.
4. Participate in troubleshooting, capacity analysis, planning, and performance analysis.
5. Define and review infrastructure as code.
6. Ensure compliance by addressing SecOps tools' requirements.
7. Develop, implement, maintain, and fine-tune monitoring and alerting systems.

What Skills & Experience You Should Bring:

1. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or a related field.
2. At least 5 years of technical experience with a proven ability to take ownership.
3. Strong collaboration skills with leading cross-functional work.
4. Demonstrated success in managing infrastructure in production environments.
5. Expertise in capacity planning and cost optimisation for efficient operations.
6. Extensive experience with Amazon Web Services.
7. Proficient in high-level scripting languages (Python) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools (Terraform, CloudFormation), along with containerisation.
8. Experience with Kubernetes or other containerisation technologies.
9. Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and tools such as Jenkins, Argo CD, Helm, etc.
10. Experience managing data streaming solutions like Kafka and Kinesis.
11. Experience with monitoring tools and incident management processes like Prometheus, Grafana, Cloudwatch, Sumologic, etc.
12. Strong understanding of networking and security concepts.

Desirable Skills & Experience:

1. Familiarity with Azure would be beneficial.
