Qualifications

• Pursuing a BA or BS degree with some prior office work experience.
• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in MS Office Suite, database software and Internet research.
• Experience with Raiser's Edge database a plus.
• Strong organizational, communication and interpersonal skills (written, oral, and electronic).
• Administrative and fundraising experience preferred.
• Willingness to learn.
• Commitment to the mission of Bread for the World.

Responsibilities

• Assist with Foundation fundraising by: researching grant prospects and writing briefings.
• Assist with major donor fundraising by: conducting donor research, including church contacts; calling donors to say thank you or encourage continued church support; doing data cleanup in the database; keeping staff up to date on Bread updates for donor stewardship.
• Assist membership fundraising with: filling and administrative support; improving donor experience through customer service.
• Work on additional projects as requested.

Salary Range: $18.50 To $18.50 Hourly

DEPARTMENT: Development

SEMESTER: Fall (Sept. - Dec. 2026)

SCHEDULE: Part-Time: 22.5 hours per week

PRIMARY PURPOSE: Development needs an engaged individual who is interested in learning about various aspects of development through hands-on experience. We will need support during a critical time of year in preparation for end of year fundraising. Interns will learn about many aspects of the fundraising process in a nonprofit organization.
