Job summary

Penn State University Park is seeking a Development Assistant to support the Eberly College of Science in fundraising and alumni relations. The role works within the Division of Development and Alumni Relations to assist in prospect tracking, reporting, and donor stewardship.

The candidate will collaborate with leadership, manage data in the Prospect Tracking Database, and help prepare materials for meetings and travel itineraries, contributing to Penn State's ongoing campaigns.

Qualifications

  • GED or HS diploma required.
  • 2+ years relevant experience.
  • Familiar with enterprise systems and databases.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with the Senior Director to maximize fundraising efforts.
  • Articulate Penn State's needs and values through communications.
  • Prepare and review reports; support donor tracking and database management.
  • Track activity and maintain donor records in Prospect Tracking Database (AWA).
  • Create activity reports and follow up on tasks.
  • Support portfolio management for major gift prospects; update records and goals.
  • Serve as PMA liaison; work with assigned analyst.
  • Provide travel support materials and post-travel follow-ups for senior staff.
  • Prepare and distribute reports and meeting materials for leadership.
