Job summary

Marriott Vacations Worldwide is seeking a Manager, Development Accounting to lead day-to-day accounting, reporting, and forecasting for development and capital projects. You will oversee analysts, review outputs, and act as the primary escalation point for project-level financial issues.

The role emphasizes compliance with accounting standards and strong internal controls, partnering with project management teams to ensure accurate financial execution and timely budgeting/forecast updates.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Accounting or Finance or related field required.
• 5+ years of accounting/finance experience preferred.
• Knowledge of real estate development or construction industry.
• Basic understanding of Sarbanes-Oxley Act Section 404.
• Experience coaching or supervising others.
• Timeshare knowledge and related contract/loan compliance is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day accounting, reporting, and forecasting for assigned development and capital projects.
• Oversee Analysts, review outputs, and serve as escalation point for project-level financial issues.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
• Partner with project management teams to support accurate financial execution.
• Enforce department standards for financial reporting, forecasting, and controls.
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of analysts as needed.
• Reconcile GL Job Cost to PMWeb/Excel forecasts and ensure timely updates.
