Job summary

Pivotal Partners in San Francisco is seeking a Developer Advocate to grow our developer community and showcase what our AI search technology can do for real-world applications.

You will build hands-on demos, publish resources on GitHub and blogs, and present at meetups and workshops, while collaborating with Engineering and Product to improve tools and documentation. On-site role requiring strong communication and hands-on coding with LLMs.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in software engineering or developer advocacy.
• Experience building apps with LLMs, AI agents, and retrieval.
• Public portfolio of technical work (GitHub projects, talks, demos).
• Excellent ability to present complex topics in workshops and talks.

• Develop hands-on demos and practical examples that highlight what developers can build using our search technology.

• Represent our technology through developer meetups, technical talks, workshops, and live coding sessions.

We're looking for a Developer Advocate to help grow our developer community, showcase what's possible with our technology, and support developers building the next generation of AI applications.

What you'll do:

• Develop hands-on demos and practical examples that highlight what developers can build using our search technology.
• Publish technical resources across GitHub, blogs, social platforms, and video channels.

Requirements:

• 3+ years of experience in software engineering or developer advocacy, with practical projects or code to demonstrate your skills.
• Proven experience building applications with LLMs, AI agents, and retrieval technologies.
• A public portfolio of technical work, such as GitHub projects, working demos, educational content, conference talks, or livestreams.
• Confident presenting technical concepts and making complex topics accessible through workshops, talks, and demonstrations.
• Regularly use AI-powered coding tools and understand where they excel and where they fall short.
• Enjoy working directly with developers, helping them solve problems and engaging with feedback from the community.
• Available to work on-site in San Francisco, USA.
