Job summary

United States Digital Space LLC is seeking a Developer Advocate for our San Francisco office. The role centers on building trust as an external voice across conferences, forums, social media, and content creation to support our growth in AI and agentic workflows.

You will design engagement strategies, author technical content, and partner with product, engineering, and marketing to drive adoption and feedback. Hybrid office schedule with some in-office days.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Developer Advocate or similar role.
• Hands-on with building and consuming RESTful APIs, webhooks, and SDKs.
• Strong written and verbal communication; ability to explain technical topics clearly.
• Ability to translate community feedback into product improvements.

Responsibilities

Developer Advocate

We're looking for an experienced Developer Advocate in our SF Office. Our work informs teams at every level of the company and drives key roadmap decisions. the company's developer platform is growing, and we need a credible external voice in the developer and AI community. This role is about presence, trust, and distribution. You will represent the company in the spaces where developers and builders actually live: on social media, at conferences, in forums, and through the content you create, and you will represent those developers at the company.

We're looking for the kind of person other developers follow because they consistently reinforce a trusted feedback loop between developers and the companies they're building with. We need someone who can speak with real authority on agents and agentic workflows — and can articulate, better than anyone outside the company, how the company creates value in an agentic world. If people in your corner of the developer community already look to you for approaches to AI, agentic workflows, and/or productivity tooling, we want to talk.

This role is based in our San Francisco office with an office-centric hybrid schedule. The standard in-office days are Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday. Most Asanas have the option to work from home on Wednesdays. Working from home on Fridays depends on the type of work you do and the teams with which you partner. What you'll achieve

• Design and execute developer engagement strategies that drive adoption of the company's platform, APIs, and SDKs.
• Author high-quality technical content, including sample apps, code tutorials, technical blog posts, and API documentation.
• Engage with the developer community across forums, events, workshops, and social channels, serving as the primary advocate for developer needs.
• Partner closely with Product Management, Engineering, and Design to provide actionable developer feedback and help shape platform roadmaps.
• Build strong cross-functional relationships with Marketing, Business Development, and Solutions Engineering to support partner integrations and growth.
• Mentor and guide junior advocates and community members, elevating advocacy best practices across the organization.

About you

• Demonstrates curiosity about AI tools and emerging technologies, with a willingness to learn and leverage them to enhance productivity, collaboration, or decision-making.
• Proven track record as a Developer Advocate, Developer Relations Engineer, or Senior Software Engineer with substantial experience building developer community programs.
• Deep technical background with hands-on experience building and consuming RESTful APIs, webhooks, and modern SDKs in languages like JavaScript, Python, or Ruby.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with a passion for breaking down complex technical topics into engaging, accessible content.
• Strong empathetic approach to developer experience, with a passion for understanding user pain points and championing their solutions internally.
• Strategic mindset with experience defining success metrics, analyzing API usage data, and translating community feedback into product enhancements.

For this role, the estimated base salary range is between $182,000-$207,000. The actual base salary will vary based on various factors, including market and individual qualifications objectively assessed during the interview process. The listed range above is a guideline, and the base salary range for this role may be modified.
