Job summary

Figure, an AI robotics company based in San Jose, CA, is hiring a Developer Productivity Intern to design and build infrastructure and tools that accelerate the software development lifecycle. You will impact security, cost, and performance across Figure development.

You will work with firmware, embedded, middleware and AI/ML teams to ship new platforms and features at unprecedented speed while improving developer environments and tooling.

Qualifications

• Rising senior or recent graduate in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Strong Linux and systems fundamentals: networking, storage, processes, and containers.
• Proficient in at least one of Go, Rust, C++, or Python.
• Bonus: Kubernetes, Terraform, Bazel, cloud experience, and AI tooling.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to architecture and implementation of next-generation build and deployment infrastructure.
• Redefine development environments for ease of use and productivity improvements.
• Develop backend and frontend tools to support the build infrastructure.
• Collaborate with firmware, embedded, middleware and AI/ML engineers to ship platforms quickly.
