Job summary

DP Professionals (DPP) seeks a Developer III for a client in the healthcare insurance industry. The role is hybrid in Columbia, SC with onsite Tue/Wed/Thu and as needed. Responsible for mainframe development, analysis, design, and implementation of complex TMBS tasks.

Requires a Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of relevant experience. Candidates should have strong COBOL, JCL, TSO, APS, and NDVR skills. DB2/IMS knowledge preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• 4 years of application development, systems testing or related experience.
• Healthcare insurance domain experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain Mainframe Healthcare Claims Adjudication subsystems and BIS coding/configuration.
• Analyze, design, program and implement complex tasks in TMBS.
• Devise procedures to resolve business problems with computer resources.
• Define scope and objectives through research for complex systems changes.
• Review detailed specifications and suggest modifications.
• Design, code, test and debug complex application programs.

DPP is seeking a Developer III for an opportunity with our client in the healthcare insurance industry.

Work Location

US Citizen; must be able to obtain/maintain a low-level (Public Trust) clearance

Responsibilities

• Mainframe Healthcare Claims Adjudication subsystems and Business Information Systems (BIS) coding, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Responsible for analysis, design, programming, and implementation of the most complex applications tasks and projects in TMBS.
• Devise feasible, logical procedures to resolve business problems through the use of computer resources.
• Formulate scope and objectives through research to develop or modify complex systems.
• Review detailed specifications and recommend modifications.
• Design, code, test and debug complex application programs

Required Skills

• Mainframe Development, APS, Cobol, TSO, JCL, JHS, NDVR.

Required Work Experience

• 4 years of application development, systems testing or other job-related experience.

Required Education

• Bachelor's degree-in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree.

Degree Equivalency

• 4 years of job-related work experience or 2 years of job-related experience plus an associate’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or other job-related degree.

Preferred Skills

• DB2, IMS.
