Job summary

Ably is seeking a Technical Lead for Developer Experience to own and evolve our dashboard, docs platform, and control plane. You will lead a team of five engineers, report to the CTO, and shape the DevEx vision with a strong product mindset.

You will drive rapid iteration, focus on the developer journey, and champion AI-assisted development while maintaining engineering integrity across platforms.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience leading teams at B2B SaaS or API-first companies.
• Strong software engineering background with frontend and backend experience.
• Experience building customer-facing web applications at scale.

Responsibilities

• Obsess over developer experience and elevate Ably's platform interactions.
• Lead technical execution and design decisions for dashboard, docs, and billing UIs.
• Foster a product-minded engineering culture with ownership and outcomes.
• Operate in a high-velocity environment, iterating features with PMs and customers.
• Champion AI-assisted development and accelerate velocity without compromising quality.
• Set high standards for code review, testing, and production readiness.
