Job summary

Choice Hotels International, Inc. invites applicants for a Cloud Platform Engineer 2 (Developer Experience) in Scottsdale.

The role focuses on enabling software teams with scalable CI/CD, source control tooling, and automation to accelerate delivery across the enterprise. You will build and support CI/CD pipelines (Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions), manage Git-based workflows (Bitbucket), and implement IaC using Terraform and AWS CDK.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or 2–3 years of equivalent experience.
• 2–3 years in software engineering, DevOps, platform engineering, cloud engineering.
• Experience with enterprise developer tooling and cloud platforms.
• Experience with CI/CD platforms such as Harness, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, GitLab CI.
• Experience with Git-based source control systems (Bitbucket).
• IaC tools such as Terraform or AWS CDK.
• Scripting languages like Python, Groovy, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Working knowledge of AWS and modern deployment practices.
• Understanding of Agile DevOps principles.
• Strong troubleshooting and collaboration skills.

Responsibilities

• Build, maintain, and enhance developer platform capabilities to improve delivery speed and reliability.
• Design and support CI/CD solutions using Harness and Jenkins.
• Support source control platforms and engineering workflows with Git.
• Develop automation using Infrastructure as Code and cloud-native tech.
• Collaborate with software teams to improve build, test, deployment, and release processes.
• Implement software supply chain security, code quality, and governance controls.
• Evaluate and operationalize new tools to improve productivity.
• Troubleshoot issues across tooling, pipelines, and cloud infrastructure.
• Contribute to standards, reusable patterns, and self-service capabilities.
• Participate in on-call support for platform services.
