Job summary

Factory in San Francisco is hiring its first community hire to lead the developer ambassador program and manage developer events. You will be a face and voice for Factory in both online and offline spaces, engaging with engineers, open source communities, and tech leaders.

You will own the program, host events, and ensure feedback from developers informs product improvements. This in-office role emphasizes hands-on community building and active participation in tech conversations.

Qualifications

• A strong speaker who can also listen and engage one-to-one.
• Clear, authentic writing style; professional tone in public and online.
• Technically credible enough to demo the product to engineers and discuss trends in autonomous software, coding agents, LLMs.
• Responsive and quick to engage with community members across channels.
• 2+ years in developer relations, community, developer advocacy, or similar hands-on work.
• Track record of running events or programmes end-to-end, at any size.

Responsibilities

• Build our developer ambassador program — recruit cohorts, support them, and sustain activity beyond the first month.
• Plan and execute developer events end-to-end, from invitations to post-event follow-ups, including sponsorship reps.
