Job summary

Factory is seeking its first community hire to lead developer relations in San Francisco. You will own the Factory Guild, run events, and build relationships across the tech space. This in-person role may require travel to events beyond San Francisco.

You will be a visible and credible voice for Factory, speaking on stage, in workshops, podcasts, and demos. You will create starter content and ensure feedback loops reach product teams.

Qualifications

• Strong public speaking ability for talks and workshops.
• Excellent written communication, authentic and relatable style.
• Technical credibility when demoing products and discussing trends (AI, autonomous software, LLMs).
• Fast, responsive communication with community members.

Responsibilities

• Build our developer ambassador program — recruit cohorts, support them, sustain it beyond month one.
• Run developer events end to end, inviting attendees and representing Factory at sponsored events.
• Be a visible voice for Factory on stage, in workshops, podcasts, and live demos.
• Engage where developers are, including open source, taking part rather than broadcasting.
• Feed feedback from developers back into product and report outcomes to the community.
• Create starter materials — tutorials, demo scripts, and workshop content.
