Southern Farm Bureau Life Insurance is seeking a Developer in Jackson, MS to join our Applications Development team. You will code, unit test, and document software while working under supervision from a manager or senior developer.

Qualifications include a Bachelor’s degree in CS or related field and knowledge of at least one high-level programming language; SQL, Visual Studio, Git, C#, .Net Framework, XML, HTML, JSON, and AQT are a plus.

• Working knowledge of at least one high-level programming language.

Responsibilities

• Maintain code for computer applications including coding, testing, and documenting programming work.
• Research and resolve production issues reported to the Help Desk.
• Work on-call after-hours rotation and handle production problems.
• Provide support to IS department staff and business users.
• Document research, progress and status of assigned work in Azure DevOps.
• Communicate with the business user as work progresses and follow up on testing status.
• Continue development of technical and business knowledge through training.
