Datadog is hiring a growth-minded leader to own our developer audience. You will shape where and how we show up for developers, run our developer social channels, and build the tooling and measurement behind it.

This is a builder role reporting into the Product org. You’ll run experiments, expand into spaces like Reddit, YouTube, Discord, and Hacker News, turn shipped engineering work into compelling stories that move trials and signups, and collaborate with engineers to publish at speed.

Qualifications

• You have grown an audience from a small number to a large one.
• You can point to outcomes your content moved, not just reach.
• You're a strong writer with a distinctive voice and you know the difference between writing for an audience and writing about one.
• You have opinions about formats, platforms, and pacing and adapt to algorithms.
• You know what ships now and what needs a second set of eyes.
• You're a vibe poster (or coder) and know how to build hype.
• You're comfortable with tools and automation and would rather build a workflow than repeat a task.

Responsibilities

• Own the voice, editorial standard, and publishing cadence for the developer channels.
• Treat replies as a primary surface and engage effectively in mentions.
• Expand into Reddit, YouTube, Discord, Bluesky, dev.to, Hacker News, and other spaces.
• Turn shipped engineering work into readable and watchable content; releases and war stories.
• Build an attribution model connecting content to trials and signups.
• Run real experiments with clear hypotheses and readouts.
• Lead the developer content engine around events.
• Encourage others to post and engage with developers outside the company.
• Track developer sentiment and route insights back to product and growth.
