About This Role

Writer is seeking an experienced developer advocate focused on technical content to join our Developer Relations team at Writer. An accomplished storyteller with a strong technical background, this developer advocate will produce world-class technical content to drive awareness of Writer research and technology and adoption of the Writer platform.

You will work with product marketing, lifecycle marketing, developer experience, and AI and software engineering to develop high-quality technical content across our engineering blog, newsletters, launch assets, and more in various mediums.

Your Responsibilities

• Deliver world-class technical content across mediums, telling the story of Writer’s research and technology.
• Develop educational technical content for the Writer platform (Agent Builder, API, SDKs) and partner integrations.
• Act as our “internal journalist,” working with AI and engineering teams to develop stories about their work.
• Partner with Product Marketing and Content to develop launch assets for research papers, model launches, and technology announcements.
• Collaborate with inbound and lifecycle marketing to develop gated technical content and newsletter content.
• Assist with docs, SDKs, and event staffing as needed.
• Manage projects proactively, adhering to deadlines and contributing to our developer experience strategy.
• Report to the Director of Developer Relations.

Is This You?

• You are passionate about technical storytelling and understand the importance of balancing education with marketing impact.
• You understand different technical personas in AI: researchers, developers, and IT.
• You have at least two years of experience as a developer advocate, software developer, AI/ML engineer, or related role, with a proven record of impactful technical content creation.
• You have experience with AI and ML, proficiency in Python, and are comfortable attending and presenting at LLM Paper Clubs.
• You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You adapt quickly to new domains and can communicate complex ideas effectively.
• You can work independently and collaboratively.
• You prioritize accessibility and engagement in your content.

Preferred Skills

• Formal or documented education in machine learning, AI, or AI engineering.
• Experience creating technical content for an AI company.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Familiarity with building applications using LLMs.
