About This Role
Writer is seeking an experienced developer advocate focused on technical content to join our Developer Relations team. This individual will produce world-class technical content to increase awareness of Writer's research and technology and promote adoption of the Writer platform.

You will collaborate with product marketing, lifecycle marketing, developer experience, and AI and software engineering teams to develop high-quality technical content across various mediums, including our engineering blog, newsletters, and launch assets.

Your responsibilities

• Deliver world-class technical content across mediums, showcasing Writer’s research and technology.
• Create educational technical content for the Writer platform (Agent Builder, API, SDKs) and partner integrations.
• Act as an internal journalist, working with AI and engineering teams to highlight their work.
• Partner with Product Marketing and Content teams to develop launch assets for research papers, model launches, and technology announcements.
• Collaborate with inbound and lifecycle marketing to produce gated technical content and newsletter material.
• Assist team members with documentation, SDKs, and event staffing as needed.
• Manage projects proactively, meet deadlines, and contribute to the developer experience strategy.
• Report to the Director of Developer Relations.

Is this you?

• You are passionate about technical storytelling and understand the importance of balancing education with marketing impact.
• You understand different technical personas in AI: researchers, developers, and IT.
• You have at least two years of experience as a developer advocate, software developer, AI/ML engineer, or related role, with a proven record of impactful technical content creation.
• You have experience with AI and ML, and proficiency in Python.
• You possess strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• You adapt quickly to new domains and communicate complex ideas effectively.
• You can work independently and collaboratively.
• You prioritize accessibility and engagement in your content.

Preferred Skills

• Formal education or documentation in machine learning, AI, or AI engineering.
• Experience creating technical content for an AI company.
• Experience in a fast-paced startup environment.
• Familiarity with building applications using LLMs.
