Job summary

BigHat Biosciences is seeking a hands-on Senior Scientist, Developability for a 12-month contract in San Mateo, CA. The role emphasizes bench-level work performing IND-enabling developability assessments on late-stage drug candidates from our Milliner Platform.

Expect to spend most time at the bench conducting stability studies and data interpretation. The candidate will lead analytical method development, work with CROs, and translate complex data into actionable steps while exploring new tools

Qualifications

PhD in Biochemistry or related field with 5+ years industry experience.
Experience developing and optimizing sensitive analytical chromatography-based methods.
Strong background in biophysical and analytical characterization of antibodies and fragments.
Track record translating complex data into clear actions.

Responsibilities

Lead, design, and execute developability studies to assess drug compatibility with administration materials.
Develop sensitive analytical methods for quality and recovery assessment.
Support late-stage characterization including formulation screening and stress testing.
Drive developability assessments across programs with data interpretation focus.
Coordinate with external CROs for testing and analytics.
Communicate findings and propose next steps across the organization.
Identify and scope state-of-the-art developability tools and technologies.
