Job summary

Turnberry Solutions is seeking a DevOps Engineer to join its Digital Modernization practice in the Philadelphia area. You will design, develop, implement, and analyze software products and systems, and support continuous delivery across on-site and remote environments.

You will work with Puppet, Chef, Ansible, Jenkins, Docker, Kubernetes and AWS/OpenStack, coordinating testing, debugging, and data analytics to improve product quality and performance for clients in a hybrid, 17+ month engagement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
• 6–8 years of experience in the field.
• Experience automating deployment with Puppet, Chef, Ansible.
• Jenkins experience for CI/CD.
• Experience with AWS/OpenStack cloud.
• Strong collaboration with QA and software engineers.

Duration: 17+ Months

Location: PA-Philadelphia, Hybrid 3-4 days onsite

As a Dev Ops Engineer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, implement, and analyze technical products and systems
• Perform engineering design evaluations
• May develop a range of products
• Recommend alterations to development and design to improve quality of products and/or procedures
• Rely on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform the functions of the job
• Work under immediate supervision, typically reports to a supervisor or manager
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and fix production software issues
• Develop monitoring solutions, perform software maintenance and implement solutions
• Develop standards and procedures for measuring product quality and release readiness
• Make recommendations related to testing techniques and processes
• Support the performance team for measuring the wireless network performance including 4G, 5G, and Wi Fi network Mobile
• Develop and maintain testing strategy, test plans, and test cases for measuring the overall customer experience
• Collect logs and perform triaging of defects from ios and android device testing
• Perform data analytics and visualization
• Perform a walk test in the field to simulate some customer experience use cases
• Prepare the test report and presentation to show the test finding
• Coordinate debugging sessions between OEMs and engineering teams to investigate issues for resolution
• Collaborate with internal cross-functional teams deliver activities and tasks necessary for successful launch and achievement of business objectives

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering and 6 to 8 years of experience in the field or in a related area
• Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Experience automating the deployment of software using tools such as Puppet, Chef, and Ansible
• Experience of Jenkins for continuous integration
• Ability to utilize and work with a large variety of open source technologies and tools
• Experience with systems and IT operations
• Data management skills with an emphasis in automation tools
• Experienced with revision control systems including branching and tagging strategies using Github
• Able to build strong relationships with QA and Software Engineers in an operational capacity to maintain continuous delivery of critical systems
• Experience provisioning and managing applications in both virtual and cloud infrastructures (AWS and Openstack preferred)
• Strong skillset in deployment and network operations, or sys-admins who have a background in scripting and coding
• Container experience in Docker and Kubernetes
• Ability to adhere to all NDAs and work on confidential projects
• Able to drive technical conversations with OEM partners with regards to device defects and debugging as needed

The salary range for this role is $100,000 to $140,000 or the hourly equivalent. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc.
