Job summary

Turnberry Solutions is seeking a Lead Full Stack Developer for its Digital Modernization practice in Omaha, NE. This role blends technology and strategy to deliver digital experiences and requires leading agile teams in architecture and standards.

You will mentor peers, design client-side/server-side architecture, and build responsive features with security and scalability in mind. Hybrid work 3-4 days on site; 6+ month duration.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML, jQuery and frameworks Angular/React.
• 5+ years of experience with Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin.
• 5+ years designing and implementing REST APIs (OpenAPI/Swagger); SOAP APIs.
• Familiarity with databases (MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQLServer) and web servers (Apache, nginx).
• Experience with software design principles and UI prototype design.
• Working knowledge of Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development and automated testing.

Responsibilities

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions.
• Lead work breakdown exercises to create projects, epics, and stories.
• Lead in the development of front-end application standards with a focus on re-usability and security.
• Serve as a technical mentor for peers, guiding developers to apply software patterns and principles.
• Provide guidance on architecture principles and best practices within the team and organization.
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to apply/define architecture principles for current and future stacks.
• Participate in COEs to lead agile teams in adopting technology standards and best practices (reusability, scalability, resiliency, security).
• Design client-side and server-side architecture; build mobile-responsive features.
• Guide Micro Front-end Design usage and integration.
• Identify technology needs and prioritize them with other business objectives.
• Test, debug, and optimize software for performance and reliability.
• Create security and data protection settings.

Duration: 6+ Months

Location: NE-Omaha, Hybrid 3-4 days on site

As a Lead Full Stack Developer, you will join Turnberry's Digital Modernization practice, where technology and strategy combine to deliver exceptional digital experiences, empowering organizations to thrive in today's digital market.

Responsibilities

• Work with development teams and product managers to ideate software solutions
• Ability to lead work breakdown exercises to create projects, epics, and stories
• Lead in the development of front-end application standards with a focus on re-usability and security
• Serve as a technical mentor for peers, guiding developers to apply software patterns and principles
• Provide guidance on industry and company best practices within the team and the organization
• Partner with Enterprise Architecture to apply/define architecture principles for current and future stacks
• Participate and engage in COEs (Centers of Excellence) to lead agile teams in the adoption of technology standards and best practices with a focus on reusability, scalability, resiliency and security
• Design client-side and server-side architecture
• Build features and applications with a mobile responsive design
• Design client-side, server-side, and mobile architecture. Influence and guide the use of Micro Front-end Design
• Technology Steward - Identify technology needs and work with the Squad Leadership to prioritize those needs with other business objectives, ensure we are delivering on technology value in addition to business value
• Test software, both manual and automated, to ensure responsiveness and efficiency
• Troubleshoot and debug software
• Create security and data protection settings

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience with multiple front-end languages and libraries (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, XML, jQuery) and JavaScript frameworks (Angular, React)
• 5+ years of experience with multiple back-end languages (Java, Spring Boot, Kotlin)
• 5+ years of experience with designing and implementing REST APIs (working knowledge of OpenAPI Spec/Swagger); working knowledge of SOAP APIs
• Familiarity with databases (e.g. MySQL, MongoDB, Oracle, SQLServer) and web servers (e.g. Apache, nginx)
• Experience with software design principles as well as UI prototype design
• Working knowledge of Test-Driven and Behavior-Driven Development
• Ability to write quality unit, functional and automated tests
• Experience with Git as a version control system, in conjunction with solutions such as Bitbucket, GitHub or GitLab
• Knowledge of Gradle, Apache Maven, Apache ANT is desirable

Preferred Qualifications

• Financial services industry experience
• Experience utilizing AI engineering tools to accelerate software development pipelines
• Experience with AWS Native development

The salary range for this role is $107,552 to $182,838 or the hourly equivalent.
