Job summary

Evolutions Treatment Center in South Miami, FL seeks registered nurses (RN) and licensed practical nurses (LPN) to join the Detox and Residential Treatment Center (RTC) teams. You will provide direct care in detox and residential programs to ensure client safety, comfort, and well-being.

Ideal candidates have detox and/or substance abuse or mental health experience, strong clinical skills, and a compassionate, professional approach in a fast-paced environment. CPR/BLS certification is required.

Qualifications

• Active RN or LPN license in Florida (required).
• Experience in detox, substance abuse, and/or mental health settings (preferred).
• Knowledge of CIWA/COWS assessments and withdrawal protocols.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments of clients' health status, including CIWA and COWS assessments, vitals, and withdrawal monitoring.
• Administer medications and ensure adherence to medication schedules.
• Monitor detox clients closely and report changes to the medical team.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals for comprehensive care.
• Maintain accurate documentation of client progress and incidents.
• Educate clients on medications and steps toward sobriety.
• Provide compassionate support throughout treatment.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and internal policies.
• Participate in shift handoffs to communicate client status and treatment plans.
