Job summary

Allied Universal in Greenville, SC is hiring a Detention Security Guard - Badge Verification. Full-time, $17.00 per hour, day and night shifts, supporting a government location with patrols, access control, and incident response.

You will provide customer service, monitor access, and maintain logs while adhering to post orders and safety procedures. A valid driver’s license and background check are required.

Qualifications

• A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
• A state, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in accordance with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to staff, visitors, and authorized personnel per site security procedures.
• Respond to incidents calmly, following post orders and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular unarmed patrols of buildings, grounds, and perimeter.
• Monitor access and verify authorization; maintain logs and incident reports.
• Communicate professionally with facility staff and Allied Universal leadership.
