Allied Universal, a leading security and facility services company, seeks a Detention Security Guard - Full Time Unarmed in Columbia, SC. You will patrol assigned locations, monitor access, respond to incidents, and provide professional customer service while upholding company policies and safety standards.

The role requires at least 2 years of security experience, a high school diploma or equivalent, and a background check. Pay is $17.95 per hour with a full-time schedule and benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation required by law; all qualified applicants will be considered.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law; licensing may be required by state/local laws.

As a Detention Security Guard - Full Time Unarmed in Columbia, SC, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned county locations, maintaining a visible presence that helps deter incidents. You will conduct routine rounds, support access control and badge processes, respond to security-related concerns, and provide professional customer service. Pay Rate: $17.95 / Hour

Job Schedule:

• Tue 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Wed 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM
• Sat 05:45 PM - 06:00 AM

What You’ll Do:

• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
