Job summary

Tulsa County's Organization Detention Home seeks a safety-focused professional to assist in planning, organizing and directing activities related to safety, control of tools and physical restraints.

The role includes coordinating training, maintaining regulatory compliance, and conducting inspections to support health, safety and security within the detention facility. A valid Oklahoma driver’s license and compliance with safety protocols are required for this safety-sensitive position.

Qualifications

• Education equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college.
• Two years full-time paid employment in social work, Detention, or closely related work.
• Any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and implement training for health and safety.
• On call twenty-four hours/day, 7 days/week.
• Knowledge of OSHA codes.
• Knowledge of detention standards, auditing standards, practices and tools.
• Develop and conduct thorough inspections.
