Responsibilities

• Provide security and supervision to inmates; maintain post security.
• Escort inmate work crews to sites; manage equipment, weapons and keys.
• Patrol yards, cells, and work areas; monitor inmate conduct and discipline.
• Maintain order in programs, meals, and recreation; report incidents.
• Operate security equipment and conduct inmate searches for contraband.
• Prepare written reports on inmate behavior, status, and movement.
• Participate on escape and apprehension teams; respond to riots and fires.
