Job summary

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is seeking a Registered Nurse to deliver advanced nursing care to detainees, including assessments, triage, medication administration, and emergency response.

The role supports leadership as Charge Nurse or Team Lead and requires collaboration with multidisciplinary teams in a detention setting. Open to USPHS officers and CAD candidates, with responsibilities spanning direct care, care coordination, documentation, and adherence to IHSC directives

Qualifications

• Must be a Bachelor prepared Registered Nurse and licensed.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• USPHS Basic Readiness status.
• Zero to two years' professional nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to detainees per nursing standards.
• Document encounters using SOAP-E format with signature and stamp.
• Assess patient needs and coordinate nursing care plans.
• Coordinate referrals to physicians or APPs as appropriate.
• Respond to emergencies and administer medications as ordered.
• Maintain compliance with IHSC directives and guidelines.
