Job summary

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide advanced nursing care to detainees in a multidisciplinary detention setting.

The role includes leadership potential such as Charge Nurse or Team Lead, mentoring, and process development, with duties spanning triage, medication administration, and emergency response. This position is open to USPHS officers and CAD candidates, with responsibilities including direct patient care, care coordination, and adherence

Qualifications

• Bachelor prepared RN with active state nurse license.
• Current CPR/BLS certification.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred, not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to detainees with established nursing care principles.
• Document all detainee encounters using SOAP(E) format with signature/name stamp or electronic record.
• Administer medications following the 6 rights and review new orders before administration.
• Assess patients' needs and coordinate appropriate nursing care plans.
• Coordinate referrals to physicians/APPs and off-site providers as required.
