Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Security Operations Director to support a government contract near El Paso, TX. This senior role leads detention facility security operations and ensures compliance with federal standards.

You will coordinate programs, supervise staff, and liaise with government partners while maintaining 24/7 readiness and on-call response. A background in corrections and ability to obtain a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in criminal justice or related discipline or 3+ years of detention experience.
• Knowledge of ICE, DHS, and NDS 2026 requirements.
• Strong leadership and reporting skills.
• Ability to obtain/maintain Secret Clearance (US citizenship may be required).
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementing detention facility policies and procedures.
• Direct oversite of detention operations within the facilities.
• Directs the preparation, planning and implementation of programs related to security and detainee safety.
• Liaise with government agencies to support program goals and guidelines.
• Ensure compliance with NDS 2026, PWS standards, and related practices.
• Maintain detailed records, incident reports, and timekeeping.
• On-call within 2 hours for meetings with government/program leadership; may serve as Acting Warden.
• Interface with Government and US Military on Ft Bliss.
