Job summary

Paragon Professional Services in El Paso, TX is seeking an Acting Lieutenant to oversee shift operations in a detention environment. You will supervise Shift Supervisors, ensure detainee counts and accountability, and coordinate incident response with ICE and Management.

Strong leadership and knowledge of facility procedures are required. Candidate will manage daily operations, prepare incident reports, and maintain professional communication with Management and ICE personnel.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to obtain and maintain PSU clearance.
• Ability to work rotating shifts, including days, evenings, nights, weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Observe shift muster, provide pass down to the oncoming shift, conduct personnel inspections, and forward discrepancy reports to Management as necessary.
• Directly supervise Shift Supervisors in the performance of their duties and ensure compliance with company policy and applicable regulations.
• Supervise daily shift operations and ensure Detention Officers are properly assigned and performing their duties.
• Ensure detainee counts and accountability procedures are completed accurately and on schedule.
• Prepare Daily Operations Summary and incident reports; notify Management of serious incidents.
