GEO Group is seeking a Transportation Officer to oversee detainee transport operations and supervise a team, ensuring DOT compliance and vehicle safety.

You will interview candidates, schedule daily routes, monitor maintenance, and maintain safety standards in coordination with transportation authorities. A CDL with passenger endorsement and corrective training credentials are required.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Class B/C CDL with Passenger endorsement within six months of appointment.
• 80 hours of driver training certification required within six months.
• Certification in Corrections, Law Enforcement, or Military preferred.
• DOT and company drug/alcohol testing compliance required.
• Strong Supervisory experience and leadership skills required.

Responsibilities

• Oversee team transporting detainees to various locations.
• Ensure facility vehicles meet DOT regulations and safety policies.
• Interview applicants for Transportation Officer roles.
• Supervise, mentor, and evaluate onboarded staff.
• Schedule daily operations based on facility needs and rules.
• Monitor vehicle maintenance and cost-efficient service planning.
• Refer to Safe Stat records for vehicles and drivers.
• Investigate all accidents and report to safety committee.
• Attend at least 8 hours yearly of transportation or regulatory training.
