The GEO Group, Inc. is seeking a full-time accounting/clerical professional to maintain financial records for detainee accounts and support daily cash handling and reporting tasks. This role requires attention to detail and strong organizational skills within a corrections environment.

Responsibilities include balance and reconcile detainee accounts, data entry, and generating standard reports. You will work closely with commissary staff and management to ensure accurate accounting and

Qualificações

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years of progressive clerical experience with emphasis on fiscal and accounting duties.
• Ability to work with computers and the necessary office software.
• General clerical aptitude with strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Understanding of bookkeeping practices and ability to prepare reports and directives.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to understand and carry out moderately complex instructions.

Responsabilidades

• Balances assigned accounts daily and maintains detainee account records.
• Assists with data entry and maintenance of computerized files.
• Receives and processes cash, money orders, or checks and credits detainee accounts.
• Handles withdrawal transactions from detainee accounts as required.
• Coordinates with commissary staff to credit detainee accounts for purchases.
• Prepares required reports related to detainee accounts and audits as needed.
• Monitors intake and closure of detainee accounts and supports release processes.
• Reports any security or procedural issues promptly.
