Job summary

Southland Industries is seeking a detail-oriented BIM/MEP detailing lead to support construction projects in Pflugerville, Texas. You will create, coordinate, and manage shop drawings and BIM models, interfacing with cross-functional teams to ensure accuracy and efficiency.

You will guide the detailing team on smaller projects, work with design/modeling to reduce rework, and coordinate final trade sign-offs with the General Contractor. Strong communication and resource management are essential.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Ability to read and interpret construction documents.
• Strong attention to detail and coordination across teams.
• Experience with BIM modeling, shop drawings, and MEP systems.

Responsibilities

• Leads detailing team and constructability on smaller or less complex projects.
• Partners with design/modeling group to minimize model rework.
• Leads project-team communication to ensure concerns are addressed and resolved.
• Provides material, content and feedback to applicable team members.
• Leads final trade coordination and sign-off with the General Contractor.
• Contributes to design pull schedule to direct model development to deliverables.
• Manages resources assigned to the project.
• Participates in conceptual design to promote modular construction and constructability standards.
• Supports budget and cost accountability.
