Qualifications

• Bachelor's or technical training in mechanical, industrial, or civil engineering or drafting.
• Ability to read and interpret technical and shop drawings.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Review job folders and verify assembly lists and shop drawings against customer specs.
• Read fabrication, manufacturing and isometric drawings to identify details for production.
• Prepare AutoCAD layouts and shop sheets when clarity is needed.
• Consult with engineers to add or clarify manufacturing info and cutting patterns.
• Review revisions with project team and identify changes affecting detailing.
• Document missing information and follow up with teams until resolved.
• Update FileMaker status as work moves from engineering to shop.
• Upload detailed job files to SharePoint for reference and traceability.
• Coordinate with fabrication, quality control and shipping on requirements and questions.
• Communicate detailing issues to project manager, engineers and shop ops.
• Attend kickoff meetings and Job Quote training; follow safety policies.
