Purpose:

Compensation: $23.05+ depending on experience.
Yearly ROA bonus and Profit Share Bonus.

This is a non-remote, in-office position.

Detail commercial and civil projects as it pertains to the supply and installation of rebar.

Basic Job Functions:

• Must adhere to Nucor's safety programs and standards.
• Demonstrate conduct consistent with Nucor’s vision and values.
• Continue developing knowledge of industry reference material (i.e., CRSI and ACI manuals).
• Verify drawings, dates, specifications, addenda, and other contractual information from the routing sheet or directly from the business system.
• Work with supervision to detail more complex projects (e.g., jobs with columns, beams, slabs, and grade beams).
• Report any changes made to contract documents to your supervisor.
• Detail accessories, mesh, couplers, and dowel bars; prepare material lists as required.
• Collaborate with job site personnel to determine project detailing and delivery requirements.
• Coordinate with A/E regarding problems or questions on contract documents.
• Produce material lists from RebarCAD and manage replacement orders as needed.
• Enter all drawings into the drawing tracking system.
• Perform other duties as assigned by your supervisor.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future.
• Vocational certificate in CAD design/drafting from an accredited institution or equivalent experience.
• At least one year of experience detailing rebar with a CAD-based system.

Preferences:

• Two-year technical degree from an accredited school or college.
• Knowledge and experience in construction and concrete-related construction.
• Working knowledge of industry reference materials (e.g., CRSI and ACI).

Physical Demands:

• Typical office activities including walking, sitting, standing, bending.
• Use of hands to operate objects, tools, computers, and electronic equipment.
• Lifting and handling computers and related equipment.
• Visual abilities including close vision and focus adjustment.
• Moderate noise level.

Special Demands:

• Must be able to work overtime when required.
• May be asked to complete approximately two hours of assessments during the hiring process.
