Job summary

GH Engage in Dallas, TX is seeking an in-person HVAC/Plumbing Designer responsible for designing and coordinating mechanical ductwork and plumbing systems for commercial projects. You will produce coordination drawings, review drawings, attend meetings, and visit job sites.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work per plans, specs and fabrication standards; advise PM on conflicts.
• Mark up submittals showing modifications
• Monitor when coordination/ detailing require changes beyond contract drawings.
• Attend job meetings as requested by PM.
• Generate full coordination drawings and required documentation.
• Provide clear, dimensional drawings.
• Visit job sites as necessary to complete tasks.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

A leading provider of commercial service and construction solutions is seeking an in-person HVAC/Plumbing Designer responsible for the design and coordination of mechanical ductwork and plumbing systems. This role requires a strong understanding of mechanical principles, plumbing code requirements, and the ability to apply this knowledge to complex commercial projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate work efficiently in accordance with plans, specifications, and fabrication standards; advise the Project Manager as conflicts occur.
• Document and provide marked-up submittals showing any modifications or discrepancies related to inline duct and piping devices.
• Monitor and report when coordination and detailing require work not indicated on contract drawings.
• Attend job meetings as requested by the Project Manager.
• Generate full coordination drawings and provide all necessary documentation to complete assigned tasks.
• Provide clear, dimensional, and accurate drawings.
• Visit job sites as necessary to complete work assignments.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to read and understand contract drawings, specifications, and submittals.
• Ability to coordinate and perform multiple activities in a timely manner.
• Ability to deal diplomatically and effectively with internal and external customers.
• Ability to maintain a sense of urgency while remaining calm when handling emergencies.
• Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening, weekend, and overtime work may be required.
• Field experience as a construction sheet metal mechanic, sheet metal foreman, or licensed plumber preferred.
