Job summary

Bergstrom Acura of Appleton is seeking a Detail Technician for a part-time schedule. You will clean, polish, and inspect vehicles, both inside and out, to meet Bergstrom Automotive's high standards before they are returned to guests or placed on the lot.

This role requires attention to detail, the ability to work with a team, and a valid driver's license. The position offers afternoon hours, a competitive hourly rate, and opportunities for growth within Wisconsin's largest dealership group.

Qualifications

• Experience in automotive detailing preferred.
• Ability to lift and stand for extended periods.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Familiarity with detailing products, tools and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Perform thorough cleaning, polishing, and waxing of vehicle exteriors and interiors.
• Inspect vehicles for damage or areas needing attention and report findings to the service team.
• Ensure vehicles meet high standards of cleanliness before delivery or placement on the lot.
• Maintain and clean detailing equipment and keep the work area organized and safe.
• Apply protective treatments to vehicles as appropriate.
• Collaborate with service and sales teams to manage workload.

What You'll Do

• Vehicle Detailing: Perform thorough cleaning, polishing, and waxing of vehicle exteriors and interiors, including washing, vacuuming, and spot-cleaning upholstery.
• Inspection: Inspect vehicles for any damage, defects, or areas requiring additional attention, and report findings to the service team.
• Quality Assurance: Ensure that all vehicles meet Bergstrom Automotive's high standards for cleanliness and presentation before they are returned to the guest or placed on the sales lot.
• Tool and Equipment Maintenance: Maintain and clean detailing equipment and ensure the work area is organized and safe.
• Product Application: Apply protective treatments to vehicles, such as paint sealants, leather conditioners, and fabric protectants.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with the service and sales teams to prioritize and manage the detailing workload effectively.

Schedule: Part Time *start time can be somewhat flexible if needed

Monday - Thursday 3:00 PM - 7:00 PM

Friday: 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM

Saturday: 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM - Every other Saturday

Pay starting at $15.00-19.00/hour based on experience. Earn an extra $2.00 per hour worked every Saturday!

What We're Looking For

• Experience: Previous experience in automotive detailing or a related field is preferred.
• Skills: Strong attention to detail with the ability to work efficiently, independently and with a team.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, lifting, and standing for extended periods.
• Knowledge: Familiarity with detailing products, tools, and techniques.
• Guest Service Orientation: Commitment to delivering a high level of service and quality to our guests.
• A valid driver's license with a clean driving record is required.
