Job summary

ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, is seeking detail shop detailers to assure the quality of the Detail Shop process and to be the first contact for detail line staff. You will monitor quality, assign tasks, train team members, and maintain a clean, safe, and productive work environment at our Indiana facilities.

The role emphasizes teamwork, strong communication, safety, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting, with emphasis on vehicle detailing quality and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to use cleaning tools such as vacuums, pressure washer, drill, cleaning chemicals and jump boxes
• 1 - 2 years of auto detailing experience preferred
• Auction knowledge and experience preferred
• Proficient computer skills
• Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving with strong multitasking skills
• Ability to adapt to changing work environments, including exposure to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).

Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of work done by each team member, identify vehicle quality that does not meet company standards.
• Identify the strengths of detailers to effectively create their assignments within the detail process.
• Ensure proper techniques and procedures are being implemented by team members.
• Train team members on standard operating procedures for vehicle detail.
• Assist on the detail line and perform final detail tasks as needed
• Maintain a professional appearance, orderly work environment and friendly disposition.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Report all incidents to management immediately.
• Properly log the vehicle information into the computer upon satisfactory completion of inspection.
• Photograph and stage vehicles to ensure focused and clear pictures per standards.
• Return customer's vehicles in clean condition.
• Run inventory reports for the detail shop.
• Advise the designated Manager of all equipment breakdowns and required maintenance immediately.
• Any other duties assigned by the designated manager
