ADESA, a Carvana-owned company, is hiring for a Detail Shop role at our Hoffman Estates location. You will ensure first-time-right detail quality, train staff, and maintain a safe, efficient work area.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to use cleaning tools such as vacuums, pressure washer, drill, cleaning chemicals and jump boxes.
• 1-2 years of auto detailing experience preferred.
• Auction knowledge and experience preferred.
• Proficient computer skills.
• Well-organized and responsible with an aptitude in problem-solving with strong multitasking skills.
• Ability to adapt to changing work environments, including exposure to excessive weather conditions (heat/cold).
• Proficient computer skills.
• Must be 18 years of age with a valid driver’s license and driving record that meets company requirements.

Responsibilities

• Inspect the quality of work done by each team member and ensure it meets company standards.
• Identify strengths of detailers to assign tasks effectively.
• Train team members on standard operating procedures for vehicle detail.
• Assist on the detail line and perform final detail tasks as needed.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and professional work environment; assist with shop cleaning and equipment maintenance.
• Log vehicle information into the computer after inspection.
• Photograph and stage vehicles to meet photo standards.
• Return vehicles in clean condition.
• Run inventory reports for the detail shop.
• Report equipment breakdowns and maintenance needs to management.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the manager.
