Job summary

Paramount Field Services is seeking a Due Diligence Landman to join our land team on a full time, independent contractor basis. This role verifies leasehold and mineral ownership, identifies title defects, and compiles due diligence reports supporting acquisitions and divestitures.

The ideal candidate works independently, handles courthouse records and title runsheets across multiple basins, and maintains accurate project files with timely communication to project leads.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 to 3 years of experience performing due diligence or title work as a landman.
  • Strong knowledge of chain of title research and related records.
  • Familiarity with HBP determinations and curative requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct due diligence review of leasehold and mineral title, including chain of title verification.
  • Examine courthouse records in person and online to confirm ownership and liens.
  • Prepare runsheets and due diligence reports for clients.
  • Identify title defects and document curative needs for escalation.
  • Review division orders, leases, and conveyance instruments for accuracy.
  • Verify HBP status and evaluate lease terms and Pugh clauses.
  • Cross reference GIS data with county plat data to confirm tract boundaries.
  • Maintain organized project files and status trackers throughout diligence.
  • Meet deadlines and provide progress updates to project leads.
